From Ethnography to Visual design

Hi! I’m Ida Karikoski, a designer from Finland. I hold a Master’s degree in Culture research, which has given me a deep understanding of culture, traditions, and stories. This background provides me with strong cultural competence and ethnographic skills, allowing me to approach design with awareness of different perspectives, users, and audiences.

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, which made the path toward visual design a natural one. Over time, I’ve combined all my areas of expertise into a holistic approach where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand.

Continuous learning process

From cultural studies, I went on to train as a Visual Designer, and I am currently studying UI/UX design. Recently, web design has also become a major area of interest, and my goal is to offer clients an even wider range of digital services. I’m always open to projects where I can put these skills into practice.
